Spend an unforgettable afternoon in the French Quarter where teams of 4 to 8 people will pursue clues, testing their knowledge of all things Southern culture - music, art, literature and fashion - in this exhilarating, interactive scavenger hunt adventure.
What?
In the past, from the starting gun's craze to the Quarter's beignets, contestants found secret gardens and galleries, touched ghosts and tarots, got carts and body art, and serenaded our city while sipping its finest concoctions. They sang karaoke, learned Russian history, and found the Saints. Nude girls! Recording studios! Movie stars! Anything can and will happen this year!
And, WDSU's Rosa Flores will be the Grand Marshal!
You don't want to miss this chance to test your knowledge in all things New Orleans - and win prizes, such as tickets to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival and a tour and tasting at NOLA Brewery.
Why?
Besides having an O-Mazing time, race participants will also be raising funds for a good cause: the programs presented by the Ogden Museum’s Kohlmeyer Circle, a group of young arts and cultural enthusiasts. Programs include: Ogden Playdate; Southern Storytellers; Ogden Nightcap; Haute and Handmade (fashion show); Collecting 101; sponsoring an artist’s exhibition for White Linen Night; and of course, the O-Mazing Race!
