Member FAQs

1. Why should I become a member?
In addition to the unique benefits you can enjoy as a member of The Ogden Museum, such as our Annual Southern Hospitality Banquet and your very own works of art by Southern artists, your donation supplies the museum with an important source of revenue. This revenue supports everything from museum exhibitions and lectures to children's educational programming and is vital to our existence. For a complete list of member benefits go to the main Membership page.

2. How long does my membership last?
Memberships are valid for one year from enrollment date.

3. How do I purchase a membership?
By phone call (504) 539-9600, click here to apply online, or visit us in person at 925 Camp Street in New Orleans.

4. What happens if I lose my membership card?
Just contact us by e-mail at cgilbert@ogdenmuseum.org or call (504) 539-9616, and weÍll be happy to replace your cards. In the meantime, the Visitor Services Desk can verify ID and issue a one-day pass for members who have forgotten or lost their cards.

5. How long does it take to receive my membership materials?
Within 48 hours of our receiving your membership application you can enjoy many of your benefits, like free admission and a 10% museum store discount (memberships purchased at the museum are active immediately). You will receive your membership cards within three weeks. Other benefits, depending on your level, will be mailed as they become available.

6. Where do members park when visiting the Museum?
The museum does not currently have a parking lot. Visitors can find street or lot parking throughout the Warehouse Museum District.

7. How can I obtain a list of reciprocal museums?
Visit the Reciprocal Membership page of this website, or contact us at cgilbert@ogdenmuseum.org and we will be happy to e-mail or fax you the list.

8. Is my membership tax deductible?
The Ogden Museum of Southern Art is a charitable non-profit organization and therefore dues and contributions are tax deductible to the limit allowable by law for federal income tax purposes. Please call (504)539-9616 to find out the tax deductible amount of your membership level.
