The “O What a Night Gala” promises to be the event of the season with art, music and culinary talents that reflect the importance and influence of Southern culture across the globe.

Live and silent auction art from noted Southern artists. Auctions also include “artful objects,” and this year there will be a special surprise!
O What Cuisine!
The gala is known for its exceptional cuisine created by award-winning chefs based in the South. Featured chefs have included: Donald Link (Herbsaint, Cochon/New Orleans, La.), Stephen Stryjewski (Cochon/New Orleans, La.), Chris Hastings (Hot and Hot Fish Club/Birmingham, Ala.), Robert Carter (Carter’s Kitchen, Rutledge Cab Co./Charleston, S.C.), Tariq Hanna (Sucre/New Orleans), among others.
O What an Honor! Presentation of the Opus Award
The Opus Award, founded in 2007, is given each year to a member of the arts community whose life’s work constitutes a major contribution to the cultural landscape of the South.
Previous Opus Award winners have included: Art Neville (2007), Arthur Q. Davis (2008), R. Philip Hanes (2009), Jessica Lange (2010), T. G. Solomon (2010-Lifetime Achievement), George Dureau (2011) and Lin Emery (2012).
